K 2013 is history… and history making for plastic injection molding

November 21, 2013

The elite of the world’s plastic and rubber industry descended on Dusseldorf   October 16-23, as the K 2013  International Trade Fair drew more than 230,000 attendees to this European business and fashion capital.  The continuing recovery of the plastic injection and rubber-injection molding industries  foretold a successful trade show, and those expectations were indeed met.

For example,  exhibitors reported a high-number of solid business inquiries and even several high-value, signed contracts.

Chairman of the Exhibitors’ Advisory Board for K 2013 Ulrich Reifenhäuser was more than happy with these results: “We had not expected visitors’ willingness to invest to be this high!”  Reifenhauser went on to say that many extremely innovative products and applications which had their premiere would culminate in actual signed contracts in the weeks and months ahead.

Perhaps most encouraging of all were the more than 3,200 exhibiting raw material producers, processors and machinery producers who came from all over the world to participate in this show, including a record number of corporate officials.

The results of the exhibitor survey echo these sentiments: more than 86% of all exhibiting companies rated the commercial success at the trade fair as “very good to satisfactory”. 82% have high expectations about post-fair business, resulting from the show.
